I have always been a person of vivid imagination. Since a young age, I was transforming rags into queen's gowns, writing scripts for peers at school and learning embroidery sitting near my nan in a Tuscan farmhouse.
Like everyone else, I grew up and life’s frenetic rhythm brought me in various directions, from leaving Italy and moving to the U.K., to having a child, working in offices and teaching Italian. Nothing related to my previous passions, although I was still knitting beautiful garments for my young daughter.
It was only during the forced 'stay at home' during Covid-19, that my mind wandered back to my original interests and while pacing the rooms of my home in search of ideas, i found the one! It was then that I started to change the look of all my lampshades.Â
My first attempts were timid and imperfect, not knowing what fabric to buy and where, what the best tools were and if anyone else would have liked these rough attempts. I didn’t attend any courses, like most sensible people would do, but I was, because of this, even more proud of myself, a self taught skill!
I grew more confident and attempted different styles and techniques, it was not an easy journey but certainly a very rewarding one!
Do not expect to see the same piece twice in my shop, as I produce rare and unique items each time, unless specifically requested.Â
I like to go above and beyond for my customers and i'm always happy to discuss designs taking the room, colour, shape and style into consideration.Â
If you would like to discuss any bespoke creations I never charge for consultations. Â
