I have worked on this beautiful piece, handmade lampshade.
It is in the Victorian style, Downton Abbey.
Large piece, completely HandStitched on a reversed dome metal frame, in a vintage, classic look. The HandStitched method goes back over a century, rendering these pieces very sought after.
The crushed velvet is very opulent and luxurious, featuring large butterflies in the tones of burgundy, vintage gold, black, white,light blue…
The lampshade has been cared in all details, starting from the criss cross burgundy silky trim applied inside the shade.
On the outside, 2 rows of a vintage bronze silky fringe in the 15cm width, then a row of burgundy elegant beads and to finish it off, a vintage large bronze trim on the top, flanks and alongside the circumference.
A piece of timeless elegance which would grace any classic home or a unique piece for the discerning maximalist to create a focal point in any corner.
